Information on the use of cookies

Kindest,
we intend to provide you with information on how we manage the cookies used on our websites www.trento.info and www.natale.trento.info in relation to the processing of your personal data. When you access the site or use one of our services, our system or that of one of our partners may set or read cookies and/or other types of identifiers related to the browser and/or device you are using, acquiring some of your personal data.
For all information on how your personal data is processed by our company, please consult our Privacy Policy.

1. Who is the data controller? How to contact the DPO?
The data controller is Azienda per il Turismo (APT) Trento, (C.F. and P. Iva 01850080225) based in Trento (TN), Via Torre Verde 7, contactable by phone at 0461216000, info@trento.info and pec office@pec.trento.info.

The data controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), who can be contacted at: dpo@apttrentino.it.

2. What are cookies?
Cookies are information (small text files) that websites transmit to your device (PC, smartphone, tablet); they are stored on your device and then transmitted back to the same sites on your next visit.
This information makes it possible to carry out navigation, to perform computer authentication, to collect information on the number of visitors and the way the site is used, and to monitor users (without the use of 'technical' cookies, in fact, some operations would be very complex or impossible to perform).
However, while you are browsing the site, you may also receive cookies sent by other sites or web servers (so-called third-party cookies) on which certain elements (e.g. images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages in other domains) on the site you are visiting may reside.
A website can only set a cookie on your browser if the preferences configured on your browser allow it. It is important to know that a browser can only allow a particular website to access cookies set by it and not those set by other sites: there is no risk to your privacy in this respect.

3. Purpose and type of cookies
APT or its partners may use cookies or other types of identifiers for a variety of reasons, including:
•    Providing access to restricted areas of the site and accessible upon authentication (in which case the cookies are called 'technical' and are used to maintain the browsing session and/or to facilitate subsequent access from the same device).
•    Keeping track of the user's preferences while using the site and/or services incorporated in or connected to it.
•    Offer advertising and/or content relevant to visitors' interests.
•    Process statistical (analytical) analyses of the use of the site and/or the services incorporated therein.
•    Conducting research to improve the content, products and services of APT or its partners.

Specifically, our site uses the following cookies:

•    Technical cookies (necessary): these are necessary for the proper functioning of the site and allow efficient and secure browsing. In particular, we use navigation or session cookies: they ensure the normal navigation and use of the site by allowing, for example, to save information inherent to navigation, to store data to keep the navigation session active and/or save information inherent to the "full screen" on/off settings when navigating the site.
Your prior consent is not required for the installation of such cookies, which are not stored persistently on your device and disappear when you close your browser or execute the logout command.

•    Analytical (measurement) cookies: we use analytical cookies set by third parties to collect information about the use of our site. The data collected by these cookies is processed in aggregate and anonymous form to monitor the areas of the site most frequently visited, to improve content, to facilitate user experience and to monitor the proper functioning of the site.
Specifically, the service offered by Google Analytics 4 is used in order to have a complete and reliable service of statistics on the use of the Site itself.
In order to guarantee the User's privacy as strictly as possible, we inform you that we have carried out IP anonymisation (i.e. Google Analytics will anonymise the User's IP address as soon as this is technically possible in the most upstream step of the network where the data collection takes place).
Furthermore, the User is informed that the advertising and data sharing options with Google have not been activated and that Google Analytics 4 has not been linked to any additional services: the processing is therefore carried out for purely statistical purposes.

•    Marketing and profiling cookies: these cookies are designed to create profiles about you in order to send you marketing messages that match the preferences you have expressed during your visit, or to improve your browsing experience; while you are browsing our website the cookies are useful to show you products that interest you or are similar to those you have viewed. They may be first party cookies (set directly by us) or third party cookies (set by third party companies we trust - these allow us to provide you with our marketing offer on other affiliated websites: retargeting). They are not, however, cookies necessary for browsing and can only be installed on your device with your express consent.

•    Social networking cookies: these are cookies needed to enable your social account to interact with our website. For example, they are used to express your appreciation and share it with your social networking friends. Social network cookies are not necessary for browsing and therefore can only be installed on your device with your express consent.

It is also important to know that in addition to first-party cookies, we also install third-party cookies. The difference relates to the website or domain that installs the cookie: first-party cookies are installed directly by our website; third-party cookies are installed by a domain other than ours and are therefore managed by a website other than ours. On the site, in fact, there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than our own.
These are persistent cookies, in that they remain active until their expiry date (their duration varies according to the cookie type) or their deletion by the user.

4. Cookie management and optional consent
We would like to inform you that you can obtain information about cookies at any time and you can authorise, restrict or block them by consulting the Cookie Policy and contacting us at privacy@trento.info if they are cookies managed directly by us (first party cookies), or by using the relevant consent form, if any, made available to the third parties listed in section 3 of this Cookie Policy.
When you access our site, you will see a banner containing a summary information on the cookies we use. Acceptance of some or all cookies is only required when you first access the site, but can be revoked at any time. By means of a technical cookie, your acceptance is stored so that you can directly access the pages of our site on subsequent visits. Your right to deactivate cookies - all or only some of them - at any time or to delete them remains unaffected. In this case, you will be asked for your acceptance again when you return to the site.
You can always change and manage your preferences for third-party cookies by following the instructions provided by the respective operators in their privacy policies available at the links indicated in point 3 above.
The deactivation of all cookies other than the technical/necessary ones does not affect the use of the site.
REMEMBER!
The personal data processed through the installation of technical/necessary cookies are necessary to ensure your correct navigation on our site. Consent to the installation of analytical, profiling, marketing and social cookies, on the other hand, is optional and your personal data will only be processed with your express consent in the manner indicated above.

Management via the browser
You can authorise, limit or block cookies at any time through your browser settings, however, if you set your device to refuse cookies, some of the site's services may not display properly or function sub-optimally, in particular, operations to identify you and maintain identification within the session may be more complex to perform and less secure in the absence of technical cookies.
You can manage your cookie preferences directly within your browser and prevent their installation. You can also delete installed cookies via your browser preferences.
