Towards the first sustainable tourism district

In Trentino, high lands, rurality, landscape, shared values and lifestyles are rooted in the community's DNA. These are the elements that make its territory a unique and fragile capital to be protected, governed and respected. Our commitment to the future therefore translates into concrete actions to preserve the environmental, social and cultural heritage. 

We can all choose to be part of a change and we want to invite our guests to discover how they can contribute to this process by choosing responsible behaviour during their stay. Our region is committed to sustainability and we want to convey this value to you.

The Azienda per il Turismo Trento, Monte Bondone, Altopiano di Piné is part, together with the ApT Valsugana, Alpe Cimbra and Rovereto e Vallagarina, of the ATA Città Laghi Altipiani and has set out on a path to increase the sustainability of tourism by adhering to the principles of sustainable tourism as defined by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

With this project, the ATA has set ambitious goals to redefine and increase the organisation of the tourism chain from various points of view: environmental, cultural, social and economic. The achievement of these goals requires the involvement of the entire local system and the sharing of these values with our guests.

Sie ist das Lebenselixier aller Ideen, Projekte und Initiativen unserer APT. Eine weitreichende und ehrgeizige Vision, die sich in der Übernahme all jener bewährten Praktiken konkretisiert, die eine fruchtbare Wechselwirkung zwischen Mensch und Umwelt gewährleisten. Dieses neue Entwicklungsmodell zielt darauf ab, das städtische Umfeld, seine Berge und Seen zu schützen, ihr immenses natürliches, historisches und gastronomisches Erbe zu bewahren und gleichzeitig das wirtschaftliche und soziale Wachstum der dort lebenden Gemeinschaften zu fördern, indem die jeweiligen Bedürfnisse ausgeglichen werden.

Um die Nachhaltigkeit immer mehr in den Vordergrund zu rücken, haben wir einen Bewusstseinsweg eingeschlagen, der alle in der Region Tätigen einbezieht und es schafft, den Prozess der Erhaltung des Lebensraums mit der produktiven Tätigkeit zu verbinden: eine Kette, die auch die Gäste einbezieht, die heute mehr denn je aufgerufen sind, ihren Beitrag zu einem nachhaltigen und verantwortungsvollen Tourismus zu leisten, der dieses Gebiet (und seine Ressourcen) respektiert und mit den Werten, die es auszeichnen, im Einklang steht.
