S. Colomba Lake
• from January 2021 to December 2026, from Monday to Sunday 6am-11:59pm
A body of water immersed in a basin in the woods at 926 meters above sea level, south of the Cembra Valley, a beloved destination for hikers and fishermen.
It is located on a fault between rock of volcanic origin (quartz porphyry) and rock of a sedimentary nature (the calcareous rock of Mount Calisio). The charm of the lake lies in the intense colour of its green waters, which reflect the dense surrounding woods. The place, enchanting in every season, is an integral part of the Argentario Ecomuseum. In its waters live trout, pike, wren, tench and carp.
From Lake Santa Colomba there are many paths such as that of the Canopi and the one that crosses the Biotopo le Grave. If you are passionate about history, know that it is possible to visit the "canopies", the mines dug by the ancient German miners, who mined silver here in medieval times.
STRENGTH
The glimpse of the pond immersed in the peace of the woods.
