Beatrice and Eleonora Dallagnese, four-hand piano - Sala Sosat

Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Sala Sosat in the center of Trento, two young talents will perform, the "Dallagnese, Beatrice and Eleonora Duo" with their performance on piano with 4 hands.

Beatrice and Eleonora Dallagnese are two of the most acclaimed and appreciated emerging pianists, in the panorama of young Italian musicians, both as soloists and as a duo with four hands. Already winners of several important national and international competitions, they have performed in numerous concerts in prestigious venues in Italy and abroad, including the Carnegie Hall in New York in 2017 and the Wiener Saal of the Mozarteum in 2018. They have already made their first CD "Iter" for the "classcal movement" label, with music by Brahms and Schubert.

The four-hand concert by Eleonora and Beatrice Dallagnese includes compositions by O. Respighi, E. Bruni and I. Stravinsky. Of the Italian Respighi the duo will perform ‘The Pines of Rome’ composed in 1924 and consisting of four interconnected movements. In the entire piece, the composer recounts the sensations experienced during his visit to the various corners of the city, such as Villa Borghese, the Catacombs, the Janiculum and the Appian Way.
Then follow two of the six Modal Dances by the contemporary composer E. Bruni, the second ‘Valse oblique’ and the fourth ‘Barcarolle’, both composed in August 2011 in San Bernardo di Rabbi (TN).
The concert ends with the famous‘ Petrushka ‘by the Russian Stravinsky, made in 1911. The piece tells the story of Petrushka, a puppet of Russian folk theatre who has the impossible desire for a human life. The Ballerina and the Moro also play a fundamental role. The story is set in Petersburg during the Fat Week festivities.
