Since 1993, Trento's traditional Christmas Market has been celebrating the most cherished occasion of the year with traditional Christmas huts, popular showcases of local handicrafts and traditional culinary specialities.

The magic of Christmas is at home in Trento from 22 November to 6 January 2025

Now in its twenty-ninth edition, the traditional Christmas Market will welcome the many visitors from 22 November 2024 to 6 January 2025 to celebrate in the best possible way the most beloved holiday, a symbol of hope and a desire to be together. The event will take place in Piazza Fiera and Piazza Mostra: this is where the 74 wooden houses will be located, symbols of tradition and creativity, true showcases of local crafts and regional culinary specialities. It will be like embarking on a journey during which one can pleasantly lose oneself among decorated pendants and pendants, ornaments, wooden and ceramic trees, angels and miniature nativity scenes, leather goods and clothing, handcrafted jewellery and natural cosmetic products. Plus food and wine delicacies, because the Market is an experience to be savoured, even in the narrowest sense of the word.

The Christmas Market is environmentally friendly

Sustainability is at home

As always, separate waste collection is imperative, as is the use of renewable energy sources for lighting the little houses and town streets. The use of environmentally friendly of environmentally friendly materials: on this occasion the official Christmas Market cups used by the exhibitors are placed alongside the glasses to form a large set of biodegradable products. Thanks to their special characteristics, the compostable tableware, made of environmentally friendly FSC-certified paper, can be disposed of after use with the organic fraction, thus returning to the earth. Finally, transport, in the name of shared mobility: the train and public transport in general are the most suitable tools for reaching the event.

In "Trento Città del Natale" the immersion in Christmas scents, colours and flavours is total! Not only the Christmas Market... the Children's Square offers initiatives and workshops, the Christmas train crosses the festively lit historic centre, and the skating rink provides smiles and fun! Every year, the city's museums welcome activities and initiatives for young and old, while the squares dress up for the festive season.
