The Trento Section of the National Alpine Association has set up in the extraordinary and evocative spaces of the medieval Torre Vanga an exhibition entirely dedicated to the memory of all the citizens of Trentino who, framed in the Alpine Departments that took part in it, were involved in the epic of the tragic Russian Campaign (1942-1943) and especially those who did not return.

In collaboration with the National Historical Museum of the Alpini of Trento and with the S.A.T. (Società Alpinisti Trientini) and thanks to the contribution of numerous public and private collaborations, it was possible to narrate the events, also through the memory of minor stories included in the overall context of the expedition, with precious and unpublished original finds, interactive material, original vocal recordings, films and reconstruction of typical settings of the places that were the theater.

The exhibition offers the opportunity not only to visit one of the most interesting and important historical buildings of the City of Trento and to deepen the knowledge of one of the most famous and dramatic pages of the military history of the Second World War; but also to reflect on the absurdity of the war."
