"Laghestel" Biotope
• from January 2021 to December 2025, from Monday to Sunday 6am-11:59pm
Between streams, ferns and bright flowers, an itinerary within everyone's reach, to discover nature. It is the first protected biotope in Trentino, a reserve since 1971.
It is called a "peat-bog basin", because in fact it is an ancient lake that is almost completely turbid: inside the "Laghestel", however, there is also a body of water surrounded by a dense reed bed. In this nature reserve established by the Municipality of Baselga di Piné you can spend a day in nature and appreciate the local flora among rivers, small ponds, fern plants, wild strawberries and flowers, such as the eyes of the Madonna, of an intense blue.
The ring route, recommended to cross the biotope, starts from Ferrari; it is about an hour's walk, simple and flat, in short, suitable for everyone. It is accessible on foot and by bicycle and marked by 12 points of interest described by ad hoc panels.
STRENGTH Accessibility
:you can also take the route in a wheelchair.
