Built in the Middle Ages and renovated during the Renaissance, a minor castle but ready to amaze you with its ancient charm.

Also known as Castel Fornace, this Renaissance palace in the centre of the village houses the town hall of the municipality of the same name in Trentino. Built in the Middle Ages (some documents written at the end of the 12th century mention it as the "Torre di Fornace"), in 1424 the castle was attributed by the prince-bishop of Trento to Cristoforo and Antonio di Roccabruna, members of a noble local family. It was their descendant Giacomo who started a first renovation in 1468, followed by a second series of interventions about a century later. 

Currently, the castle houses a small exhibition of archaeological finds that can be freely visited during the opening hours of the Municipality. It is also possible to visit the castle by booking a guided tour by contacting the mayor (subject to reaching the minimum number of participants).

Also not to be missed is a visit to the nearby Palazzo Salvatori, custodian of splendid Venetian-style frescoes dating back to 1844. The building can be visited during the opening hours of the library.
