Built in 1519 and consecrated three years later, the church of the Holy TRINITY has gone down in history for having hosted the initial act of one of the most important events in the history of Catholicism. From here, in fact, the procession that officially kicked off the Council of Trent, on December 13, 1545, departed in the direction of the Cathedral. The building surprises you in a special way with its redundant Baroque-style façade, rebuilt in 1666 and characterized by decorations based on garlands, festoons of flowers and fruits, draperies, two angel heads and stone volutes. Inside, the Church has a unique hall with a cross vault. Particularly interesting is the seventeenth-century altarpiece by Martino Teofilo Polacco, from the church of San Marco, and the two side altars.
