One of the oldest and largest gardens in the Alps, with a collection that boasts around 2,000 species of high-altitude plants, many of them at risk of extinction.
More than a garden, it is an outdoor museum, with thousands of Alpine species, medicinal and extremely rare, many of them nearing extinction, ready to catch the eye with their mountain beauty, at an altitude of 1,500 metres. We are located in one of the territorial sections of the Science Museum: the Alpine Botanical Garden, nestled in the Viote basin of Mount Bondone, is a living treasure trove of biodiversity and an unmissable stop for those who are passionate about botany. In fact, the botanical garden is one of the oldest and largest in the Alps, boasting a collection of around 2,000 plant species within its ten hectares: a priceless treasure, preserved in stony flowerbeds, lakes, bogs, wildflower meadows and woods.
